Choose how much history Pastree keeps

Set how many items your history holds and when old ones go, and keep the ones that matter.

How much it keeps

  1. 1
Open Settings, and find the General card.
  2. 2
Set Max clipboard items to a number from 10 to 1,000.

It’s 100 until you change it. Past the limit, the oldest items go first to make room, starred ones included. If one of them held a shortcut, the shortcut frees up for your next new item.

How long it keeps it

  1. 1
In the same card, open Auto-delete history.
  2. 2
Choose Never, When the browser closes, After 7 days, After 30 days or After 90 days.

Never is the default. Auto-delete removes unstarred items only: your starred items and your lists stay.

Keep what matters

  • Star an item, and Auto-delete leaves it alone. The limit still counts it, so a starred item can still go once it’s among the oldest.
  • Put it in a list. Lists keep their own copy, so neither the limit nor Auto-delete removes them. See Lists & reusable snippets.
  • Files have their own limit: up to 50, at 20 MB each. See Files & attachments.

On your other computers

If you use your browser’s sync, Max clipboard items and Auto-delete history sync with it, so your other computers follow the same rules. What’s in your history never syncs: it stays on the computer where you saved it.

To clear it now

To remove your history, lists, files or prompts right away, use Clear All Data, and export a backup first if you might want them back. See Export, import & clearing data.
