The workflow

One pull request, start to finish.

A pull request asks for the same few things every time. Here’s where each one comes from.

  1. STEP 1

Your PR template in one keystroke

Give your PR description template, your testing notes and your review sign-off their own shortcuts.

    Description

    ## What changed…⌃⇧U

    Testing notes

Ran the test suite locally and added a case for a timed-out…⌃⇧I

    Review comment

Looks good to me. A few small notes inline; none of them block.⌃⇧O

    HOW IT WORKS

Click a field, press the shortcut, and the item is inserted. Each key stays with the item you picked.

  2. STEP 2

Commands and snippets from a list

Keep them in “Commands” and “Snippets” lists. Search for a word, then paste into the page, or copy it and paste it in your terminal. Multi-line snippets keep their line breaks.

  3. STEP 3

Attach a screenshot to a bug report

Choose a stored screenshot or your repro notes, then click the issue’s upload area. No hunting through folders.

  4. STEP 4

Run your prompts with the code filled in

Select the error or copy the change, and your prompt fills it in. Copy the finished prompt and paste it into your AI tool.

    Use Prompt

    Explain this error

Explain this error and suggest a fix. Keep it short: TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'status')

Good to know

Questions developers ask.

Does Pastree connect to my AI tools?

No. Pastree keeps your prompts and fills them in with the text you’ve selected or copied; you paste the finished prompt into the tool you use. It doesn’t connect to any AI service, and it sends nothing anywhere.

Does it work in my terminal or editor?

Pastree lives in your browser. Its keys, Paste item and the right-click menu fill text fields on web pages. For your terminal or editor, choose Copy item in the panel, then paste as usual.

What if I copy an API key or a token?

With auto-capture on, Exclude passwords skips text that looks like a key or a token, but it checks for common formats and can miss some. Keep secrets out of Pastree, and delete an item if one slips in.

Where are my snippets kept?

Locally in your browser, on your computer. A backup includes your lists but not your files or prompts, so export the prompts you want to keep. Clear any of them anytime.
